About COAL
Who is COAL?
The Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League (COAL) was formed in August 1951 by
a small group of emerging and established artists to promote art education
and cultural appreciation of fine art in the community. The League is a
tax-exempt organization whose primary purpose is to serve a public rather
than a private interest. The purpose is supported, as funding allows, by
public demonstrations, student scholarships, outdoor displays, art
exhibitions, art classes and workshops, cultural tours, and a main gallery.
The League currently has approximately 300 artist members.
Where Is COAL Located?
The COAL gallery is located in the Village Faire Shopping Center in
downtown Carlsbad, California.
